We got a ton of rain last night and lots of wind. Basically lots of storms. I ended up having to put a towel on the windowsill beneath my window mounted ac unit because water was blowing in. Better onto a towel than on my floor.

Ya hopefully the rain helps remedy the high pollen. Because my throat hurts even worse today...

Nasty situation in OK. Glad my niece and her family were on vacation in Florida instead of at home, just a few blocks from this one. They witnessed the ones in 1999 and 2003. My sister in Tulsa had the remnants from this big one blow on by her as she was heading home from work.

Late start for the sever weather season. Hope it does not try to make up for lost time.

nothing else here.....though they did come to power wash the balconies today (was supposed to have been done on APRIL 15!)....though with rain in the forecast for the next bunch of weeks, I doubt that they will get the painting/staining done soon.

car is nice and clean...though lots of pollen and tree thingys all over it this morning (no bird stuff though).

Sounds like my fiancees apartment complex. They put up signs at the end of April saying they were going to power wash the building. They just now started doing it...

A little more rain today then I think it clears off for a few days until more rain next week. At least the bad storms seem to be gone for now...

Finals day 2! Time to go torture my last 2 classes with my final.

more rain, some really heavy times (gutters are useless on the place--had to drive under a waterfall to get back into my garage this morning,-- FREE CAR WASH should be have been a sign on my driveway today).

Ya we had some more rain yesterday and a little bit more this morning. Not good for the farmers.

Oh I had a blast with it. Only 9 kids out of a 120 failed my classes though. So not to shabby. Those that failed failed because they didn't turn in work. Like lots of it. (10+ missing assignments)

sounds like my nephew....he had to retake his english class his senior year because he couldnt be [email protected] to do/turn in his assignments! (kinda a blemish on his family since his brother graduated hs valedictorian! not to mention both of his parents)
Only class I ever got a failing grade (for one quarter) was spelling

in 7th grade (yes it was a separate grade from our english class)....funny thing is I learned to spell pretty well after that (no thats to the public school system from which I got that grade)....though I still have issues with words that end in -ence/-ance or -ant/-ent and so very happy for spell checkers

(though they werent around when I was in school, heck computers were barely there even

).

was listening to the radio yesterday when I was driving (yes my car has one and I still use it)....and they were doing one of those 'flash back' things....they asked 'do you remember what you were doing in 1983? were you getting ready for graduation, were you in school.....were you even born!!???'...thought that was funny (yes I was and yes, I remember where I was and yes, I was close to graduating). But, dang, that means my 30 year hs reunion is coming up soon...good thing my school doesnt do that and that I wouldnt even want to see anyone ('cept my best friend who transferred in my senior year) who went there, ah the memories I wish to not remember.

1983 I was celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Well all that wet weather has finally made it here in time for the Memorial Day Weekend, we may see the sun by sometime Sunday. Well we have a national champion in our town. A 12 year old boy just won the National Geographic Geography Bee. Have a safe Holiday all.

Well only an hour left of the school year. Have to go in tomorrow to hand out report cards and turn in our checkout sheet. Then it is SUMMER!! Ya buddy!

Rolling back the hands of time to 1983, hmmm. Ahh yes, the final year of my.... shall we say.... my partying years. The year that I decided it was time to change friends and thus the path my life was taking. I was living in a "resort" community, building homes for the rich and not so famous. A small community, less than 400 permanent population that swelled to almost 1500 during the summer, located in the mountains of New Mexico.

Rain? It seems like all it does is rain, but we are almost an inch behind for the month.

I was on back then as well, I think it was just more of the younger people sharing their age than us older folks wanting to tell

yeah, was nice and cool today--no a/c required, and rain moving in for the rest of the weekend with possible breaks and rain most of next week.....not quite sure how we can be down in the rain department when it seems to rain 5 days out of 7

....unless they are taking one of the high precipitation years as the norm!

yeah, hubby wants to go fishin too...but rain is possible for the rest of the holiday weekend.

went out with a friend of mine for sushi last night, found out he is selling is 'family' home....its kind of sad (I remember when we moved out of the house I was born/raised in), so I said when his closing is we can have a going away party

ah sports

did some cleaning, some research (online), a very nice LONG nap (hadnt been sleeping well this week, so bought yet another pillow! think princess and the pea with pillows instead of mattresses), so the new pillow is working out better than the last, but still not perfect (still trying to get the right height, density, 'squishy-ness' etc...getting there!!).
